Case Study
Practical Money Skills by Visa
The native Android SDK that brings Visa's Practical Money Skills financial-education platform inside any partner app — plus the first production integration built on it.
The Result
Delivered a production-ready Android SDK and the first native integration of Visa's Practical Money Skills financial-education APIs.
Practical Money Skills is Visa's globally recognised financial-education platform, offered to partners as a single set of APIs that let them embed robust financial-literacy content directly inside their own applications. Because this was an SDK-and-integration engagement rather than a consumer app, it never shipped to the Play Store — it was built to live inside partner products.
The Product
Visa provides Practical Money Skills as an integration capability for issuer and acquirer banks, merchants, small-business issuers, and independent developers across North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, CEMEA, and LAC. The content covers the full spectrum of financial literacy — budgeting, saving, debt management, investing, credit scores, home ownership, and fraud awareness.
The Challenge
Take Visa's financial-education APIs and turn them into a clean, secure, reusable Android SDK that any partner app could integrate with minimal effort — and then prove it with a real, production-quality reference application. Financial content raises the bar: the architecture had to be secure, dependable, and precisely aligned with Visa's SDK documentation and requirements.
What We Built
- A complete Android SDK in Kotlin, with a reusable architecture designed for third-party integration
- The authentication and content-integration flow connecting partner apps to the platform
- Course rendering and in-app navigation for the education modules
- The first production Android application built on top of the SDK, as the reference implementation
Engineering Focus
We engineered for reuse and trust: a security-first architecture appropriate for financial content, careful performance and maintainability optimisation, and strict conformance to Visa's Practical Money Skills API contracts and documentation — so future partners could drop the SDK in with confidence.
The Result
- A production-ready Android SDK, delivered end to end
- The first native Android implementation of Visa's Practical Money Skills APIs
- A highly reusable foundation that future partner integrations can build on
Under NDA
This work was delivered for a confidential client under a signed NDA, integrating Visa's official Practical Money Skills capability. As an SDK-first product, it was never published to public app stores — its home is inside partner applications.
